Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Fit and assemble machine parts using hand tools and machines
- Perform cutting, filing, drilling, grinding, and shaping operations
- Maintain and repair mechanical equipment
- Ensure proper alignment and functioning of machinery
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
- Follow safety rules and workplace procedures
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and tools
- Ability to use hand tools (spanner, hammer, file, etc.)
- Understanding of measuring instruments (vernier calliper, micrometre)
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Problem-solving ability
- Basic math and technical drawing knowledge
