CNC programming basics

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day machine shop operations, including CNC, VMC, HMC, Lathe, Milling, and Grinding machines.
• Plan and execute production activities as per schedule and customer requirements.
• Ensure process adherence, quality standards, and productivity targets.
• Monitor machine utilisation, cycle time, and rejection control.
• Coordinate with production planning, quality, maintenance, and tooling teams.
• Implement and sustain 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environment, and energy management guidelines.
• Train and guide machine operators for safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain production records, process sheets, and daily reports.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of machining processes & CNC programming basics
• Understanding of engineering drawings & GD&T
• Hands-on experience in process optimisation and shop floor management
• Good communication and team-handling skills
