Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer – Mechanical with strong expertise in machine design and Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The candidate will be responsible for concept development, machine design, assembly design, and complete project execution from concept to manufacturing. The role requires strong technical knowledge of motion dynamics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes along with hands-on experience in SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complete machines, machine assemblies, and Special Purpose Machines (SPM) as per project requirements.
• Perform concept development, mechanism design, and motion dynamics analysis for machine functionality and efficiency.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Handle individual machine design projects independently from concept stage to final release.
• Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Select and integrate standard bought-out components such as bearings, motors, sensors, fasteners, connectors, and other off-the-shelf parts.
• Develop pneumatic systems and motion mechanisms for automation equipment.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, design principles, and company guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including BOM, design calculations, drawings, and project reports.
• Provide technical support during machine assembly, testing, and commissioning.
• Identify design improvements to enhance machine performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Knowledge of standard mechanical and electrical bought-out components.

Software Requirements

• SolidWorks (Mandatory)
• Knowledge of 2D drafting and 3D modeling tools.
