APQP, PPAP, PFMEA,7 QC tools

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality assurance activities during the new product development (NPD) stage.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Prepare and validate Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, and quality documents.
• Coordinate with development, production, and customer teams for APQP & PPAP activities.
• Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and trial validation.
• Support customer audits, internal audits, and quality reviews.
• Analyse quality issues during trials and suggest corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO standards.
• Promote and monitor safety, environment, and energy-efficient practices during development.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan
• Understanding of measurement instruments & GD&T
• Root cause analysis tools (7 QC tools, Why-Why, Fishbone)
• Good coordination and documentation skills
